Allow me to take a moment to introduce you to someone truly special in my writing journey: Annie Alden. We first crossed paths in a writing class approximately three years ago, where we, along with our dear friend coffecat, dedicated our Saturday mornings to honing our craft.
Annie holds a speical place in my heart as one of my very first readers. She enthusiastically delved into my work long before it saw the light of day in any publication. In those moments when self-doubt and the thought of giving up crept in, Annie's unwavering encouragement and support became my steadfast companions. I owe her a debt of gratitude not only for her unyielding belief in me but also for helping me conceive the title "Heart of the Storm," a name that has become so dear to my heart.
What makes Annie truly remarkable is her talent as a writer. I've had the privilege of immersing myself in a few of her stories, and each one has left me spellbound. The first one, "Hulda's Rebirth," discovered on Resurgence Novels, was a rollercoaster of twists and turns that kept me guessing until the very end. It's a quality I admire in all of her works—never knowing exactly where the narrative will lead, but eagerly following the journey.
Now, Annie has graced us with her latest creation, "The Accountant," and I'm already captivated by its enigmatic allure. The first couple of chapters are currently available on Resurgence, and I'm itching to see where she takes us next.
Annie, you are a source of inspiration, not only for your unrelenting support but also for the captivating tales you weave. I'm honored to have you as a fellow writer and friend on this literary adventure. |
