October 2023 - Jenny Fox

I want to take a moment to celebrate an author who has had a profound influence on my own journey in the world of serialized writing - Jenny Fox. When the world first locked down due to Covid, Jenny's work on a serialized platform caught my eye through persistent advertisements. I took a chance on her series "His Blue Moon Princess," and it quickly became a cherished read that I find myself returning to time and again. Her ability to craft characters that feel incredibly real and engage deeply with their world is something truly special.

But Jenny has helped in more than introducing me to the world of serialized writing. About the same time I decided I wanted to try to write, she graciously offered some classes for beginning writers, and I was fortunate to be selected to be part of that. She helped me to improve my character descriptions to make them more than people in my head, to where you can picture them on a page.

Looking back, I can see how far I've come from those early days (as I'm sure we all do). Yet, without Jenny's initial invitation to take that first step, I wouldn't be where I am today. For that, I am endlessly grateful.
